Using Sage
Telecom's call blocking feature, you can block specific numbers to keep
annoying callers and telemarketers away. Sage Communications, created in 1998,
offers residential and business telephone service in 12 states. You can enable
call blocking on your phone by spending two or three minutes programming your
service.

1
Call Sage
Telecom's customer service department at 1-888-449-4940 and ask a customer
service representative whether you have the call blocking feature included on
your phone plan. If you do not, tell the representative that you want to add
call blocking to your phone service; a monthly fee is added to your next phone
bill.

To block the last
incoming phone number from ringing through to your phone, pick up your receiver
and hit "#." Wait for three tones to play, then dial "01#"
and hang up. Anyone using that blocked phone line to dial your Sage Telecom
number will hear a message notifying him that calls from his number are not
permitted at this time.
3
Alternatively,
pick up your receiver, dial "*60" and listen for the prompts. Press
"2" to create a blocked number list, then enter a phone
number--including the area code--that you want to block. Press "#"
and listen for the prompt to enter the next number that you want to block.
Continue this process until you have blocked all the desired numbers, up to a
maximum of 10. Listen carefully to the prompts; Sage Telecom's phone blocking
method varies from state to state.
